Cold work steels are materials used for tools that must withstand high mechanical stress at low temperatures (below 200°C). They are characterized by a combination of high hardness, wear resistance and dimensional stability, making them particularly suited for:
· Cutting and punching tools
· Measuring and testing tools
· Embossing and cold heading tools
We maintain stock of the most common cold work steels in round and flat dimensions, ranging from small rolled formats to large forged dimensions. Many grades are also available in quenched and tempered conditions to optimally meet different requirements in further processing.
